iplomatic Courier and World in 2050, in partnership with Gallup and Skills Baby, present the 2022 Global Talent Summit on October 5th, 2022 at Gallup Headquarters, Street, NW, Washington, DC. The multidisciplinary meeting is hosted on the occasion of World Teachers Day under the theme of “The Other Greats: Reinvention, Rethink, Reshuffle, Renegotiation.”
The Global Talent Summit (GTS) is the premier space for multi-disciplinary stakeholders from the private sector, policy, academia, and innovation to come together to discuss the trends and solutions for the future of work and education. In its seventh year, GTS is the most popular summit from Diplomatic Courier and World in 2050.
This year’s GTS is taking place as traditional ways of thinking about education, skills, and work are quickly falling out of favor. The pandemic intensified these changes as students lost a year or more of in-person education, remote work became the norm, and hundreds of thousands of workers left their jobs to reskill and seek better employment—creating a worker shortage that has completely unsettled our assumptions about the labor market.
“While the fallout of these disruptions continues, a window of opportunity for transformation has revealed itself,” said CEO and Founder Ana Rold. “These crises can be a catalyst to reorient the future of education, skills, and work to better support individuals for the world ahead. Above all, it’s time to reinvent, rethink, reshuffle, and renegotiate the future of education and work.”
The GTS is intended to further this process of transformation by convening a group of hand-curated leaders from a wide collective of sectors and communities to discuss trends and solutions. Presentations and workshops this year cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Global Talent Mobility Trends and Scenarios for the Future
- The State of the Global Workplace and the Reskilling Revolution
- The Future of Work is Skills, Not the Number of Degrees
A lively discussion is expected, which Diplomatic Courier will synthesize into a special report for their global audience. Additionally, video interviews of speakers will be compiled into a special podcast series and book anthology.
