Peter Krasnopolsky earned his PhD from the University of Nottingham—studying major powers' engagement in Central Asia and conducting research in Bishkek and Almaty. He spent ten years in Beijing, teaching and writing. Peter published a book on China's and Russia's twofold impact on Central Asian regional cooperation.
