Martha E. Newton is the founder and principal of Fifth Fundamental, a former senior official at the U.S. Department of Labor, a former deputy direct–general of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and a member of World in 2050’s TEN. and a former senior official at the U.S. Department of Labor, where she led trade and labor policy, including work on the USMCA and forced labor in global supply chains. She later served as deputy director-general of the International Labor Organization and has advised governments, businesses and trade associations on labor, trade, immigration, human trafficking and workforce policy.
