Karen Studders is a trained scientist and an attorney who worked in environment and public health for CenterPoint Energy. She was appointed Commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, held several leadership positions in the Environmental Council of States, served in government before, during, and after 9/11, and subsequently worked for non-profits to influence national food and housing policies. She currently serves as a consultant and policy analyst for organizations in the U.S.
