Leith Greenslade, Co-Chair of Child Health at the MDG Health Alliance, is at the forefront of some of the most ambitious global health projects aimed at helping the world’s poorest and most vulnerable populations.
She is also a contributor to several non-profit organizations, including Acumen Fund, the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) schools, and the Jewish Women’s Foundation of New York, where she co-chairs Isha Koach, a new initiative to help vulnerable women and children. Previously, Greenslade served as Policy Advisor and Speechwriter to the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia and Minister for Health, the Honorable Brian Howe MP, and subsequently as Economic Adviser to the Honorable Kim Beazley MP, Leader of the Opposition, and as Chief of Staff to the Shadow Minister for Social Security and the Status of Women, the Honorable Jenny Macklin MP. During this period, Greenslade worked on reforms covering a broad range of public policy areas, including health, social security, employment, and the interface between the welfare and tax systems.
