Larry Quinlan, Global Chief Information Officer of Deloitte, sat for an interview with the Diplomatic Courier at "Talent Mobility & the Future of Jobs: The World in 2050".

[Diplomatic Courier:] What skills are you looking for in new hires at Deloitte?

[Larry Quinlan:] First and foremost, we’re looking for people who can interact well with clients. People who have critical thinking skills who can actually solve client problems, cause that’s what it’s all about. Now in order to do that, there really does have to be a bedrock foundation of certain skills. STEM is one of the ones that we’re really looking for. But we’re also looking for people with liberal arts backgrounds, with industry backgrounds. But at the end of the day we have to provide value to clients and we do that by thinking critically and being able to solve those client problems.
