ANUARY 19, 2026 | DAVOS, SWITZERLAND: As the world confronts accelerating disruption—from artificial intelligence and geopolitical fragmentation to climate stress, displacement, and a growing crisis of trust—Diplomatic Courier will mark its 20th anniversary by convening global leaders at the World Economic Forum through its flagship Davos Dialogues 2026.

Presented by Diplomatic Courier and its foresight think tank World in 2050, the Davos Dialogues are a curated series of intimate, off-the-record salons and live forums designed to reimagine leadership for the decade ahead and help the future arrive well.

Founded in 2006 at the margins of the United Nations General Assembly, Diplomatic Courier was created to challenge traditional notions of diplomacy, expanding who gets to participate in global dialogue and how those conversations unfold. Twenty years later, that founding vision comes into focus in Davos, where the Dialogues bring together intergenerational leaders from diplomacy, business, technology, philanthropy, education, and civil society.

“We are living through a moment when inherited systems are no longer fit for the futures we face,” said Ana C. Rold, Founder and CEO of Diplomatic Courier and World in 2050. “Marking our 20th anniversary is not about looking back, it is about taking responsibility for what comes next. The Davos Dialogues create space for honest, intergenerational conversations where leaders can move beyond crisis management and toward long-term stewardship of the world we are shaping together.”

Spanning four days, the Davos Dialogues 2026 are organized around four thematic arcs: Signals and Sensemaking; Redesigning Systems; Power, Trust, and Governance; and The Next Social Contract. Each dialogue explores a distinct facet of the shared global future: from health systems and regenerative economics to AI governance, identity, education, philanthropy, and youth-led diplomacy.

Sessions include an Oxford-style debate, peer exchanges, and intimate lunch and dinner salons, many conducted under the Chatham House Rule to encourage candor, trust, and collaboration among participants. Events will take place at partner venues in Davos, including Education House, the Rosenberg House Davos, and House of Kosova, reinforcing the series’ emphasis on pluralism, cultural exchange, and emerging leadership.

More than a week of conversations, the Davos Dialogues function as a living platform for multistakeholder diplomacy. Insights generated during the series will be synthesized into a Davos Dialogues 2026 Report and amplified through Diplomatic Courier’s global media network, while an Intergenerational Youth Manifesto will capture emerging perspectives from young leaders engaging directly with policymakers, executives, and philanthropists.

As Diplomatic Courier enters its third decade, the Davos Dialogues reflect a renewed commitment to its founding mission: to democratize global dialogue, elevate new voices alongside established leaders, and design spaces where trust-based exchange can lead to meaningful collaboration and lasting impact.
