Tonje Hessen Schei is an award-winning documentary director who has worked with independent documentary since 1996. Her films mainly focus on human rights and power structures in society, with a focus on technology and the changing relationship between man and machine. She is the director of iHUMAN, a political thriller from the inside of the artificial intelligence revolution, which premiered at the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam 2019 with sold-out theatres and a Doc Talk with Edward Snowden. Previously, she directed DRONE, Best Documentary winner at the Amanda and Gullruten awards in Norway, and distributed on Netflix.
