Steven E. Hendrix is the former Senior U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Coordinator for the State Department's Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources, and Managing Director for Planning, Performance, and Systems at the State Department. Earlier, he held senior diplomatic positions with USAID in South America, Africa, the Caribbean and Iraq. An attorney in the US, Ghana, Guatemala and Bolivia, he has over 100 professional publications and has received numerous awards, including the USAID Distinguished Career Service Award in 2024. He has extensive experience in international relations, U.S. foreign assistance, and development politics.
