Mercedes Yanora is a writer and editor specializing in foreign policy, history, and South Asia. Her research interests include India-Pakistan relations, U.S.-South Asian foreign policy, and U.S. foreign policy in popular culture. She currently works in higher education and serves as a senior editor with Charged Affairs and contract editor with the Stimson Center. She holds an MA in South Asia Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in History from Saint Joseph's University. She has worked in the United Kingdom and participated in extensive language study in India. During undergraduate, she was a Division I scholarship athlete.
